Proposed Internet Wiretapping Law Unrealistic

Lots of discussions in the news and in blogs today about a proposed bill that would require US software companies and service providers to change the way the Internet works to allow for easier wiretapping by government "authorities". The changes go something like this: Communications services that encrypt messages must have a way to unscramble them.
