This Saturday, April 26, Lancope Senior Systems Engineer Charles Herring will present at the BSides event in Chicago, IL. During his session, entitled “Looking for the Weird,” he will discuss how advanced attackers craft innovative and patient attacks that evade signature-based detection. He will then review how real-world breaches in 2013 were detected by looking at traffic deviating from normal patterns via metadata/NetFlow analysis.
With the risk of data breaches becoming just another part of doing business, organizations must proactively seek new means of keeping sophisticated attackers out of their networks. Herring will provide BSides Chicago attendees with new best practices for stronger threat defense.
