Next week, Lancope will join experts from the U.S. government – including Congress, DHS, the CIA, DoD and others – as well as technology leaders from the likes of Cisco, Microsoft and Dell to present at the Cyber Security & Infrastructure Protection Symposium. The event, taking place in Washington, D.C. on March 19 and 20, will bring together senior-level U.S. government and industry cyber security experts to cover the latest threats to the nation’s critical infrastructure and the strategies and technologies that should be implemented to effectively combat them.
Lancope’s director of security research, Tom Cross, will present a session on SCADA security entitled, “SCADA Security – The Five Stages of Cyber Grief.” As the director of security research, Tom Cross works to improve Lancope's network anomaly detection capabilities. He has more than a decade of experience as a security researcher and thought leader, previously serving as manager of the IBM X-Force Advanced Research team. He is credited with discovering a number of critical security vulnerabilities in enterprise-class software and frequently speaks on security issues at conferences around the world.
Lancope will also exhibit its StealthWatch System at the event. More information on the symposium can be found here. For further details on Lancope’s solutions for cyber security, go to: http://www.lancope.com/solutions/security-operations/.
