Lancope announced today that director of security research, Tom Cross, has joined the Georgia Tech Information Security Center (GTISC) industry advisory board. As a member of the board, Cross will provide the academic research organization with input and advice as it works to improve global information security.
“Fundamental research at the Georgia Tech Information Security Center is making a huge difference in the fight against computer crime, and Lancope is proud to have the opportunity to be involved and support this critically important work,” said Cross.
“Industry collaboration is critical to our program, and to the success of Georgia’s security industry as a whole,” said Wenke Lee, director of GTISC. “We are excited to have Tom Cross, a noted expert in threat research, join our advisory board, and look forward to the insights he will bring to our students, faculty and projects.”
