This week, Lancope is participating in the Gulf Information Security Expo & Conference (GISEC) in Dubai. GISEC is the largest IT security event in the region, assembling more than 3,000 industry, government and thought leaders from 50+ countries to discuss the latest online threats and countermeasures. According to the GISEC web site, MENA (Middle East and North Africa) governments will spend $316 million to boost national cyber defense in 2014.
Due to the evolving cyber threat landscape and the increased sophistication of cyber-attacks, Lancope has experienced significant growth in the Middle East region over the last 18 months. In addition to exhibiting at the show, Lancope’s Technical Director for EMEA and International, David Salter, will deliver a presentation as part of the Security Track on Tuesday, June 10 at 5:15 p.m. local time. His session, “Network Visibility for Effective Cyber Threat Defense,” will review how network logging technologies such as NetFlow and IPFIX can be used to detect sophisticated attacks, accelerate incident response and dramatically improve forensic investigations.
