NetFlow-Based StealthWatch Monitoring Solution Wins GSN Award
ATLANTA, Nov. 15, 2011 – Lancope has been honored by GSN: Government Security News for its strength in leveraging NetFlow to protect government and corporate networks. The GSN Homeland Security Awards celebrate the ongoing public-private partnership between all branches of federal, state and local government in the United States and the private sector vendors of IT security and physical security products, solutions and technologies, whose combined efforts successfully defend and protect the nation's people, property and way of life.
“Lancope’s StealthWatch® System is trusted by hundreds of governments and corporations to deliver the situational awareness and incident response capabilities needed to bolster risk posture and network resilience amidst a constantly changing threat landscape,” said Mike Potts, president and CEO of Lancope. “We are honored to be recognized for helping both public and private sector organizations achieve the levels of security and performance required to effectively protect our nation.”
Leveraging NetFlow and other flow data from existing network devices, StealthWatch detects both zero-day attacks that bypass perimeter defenses as well as insider threats such as policy violations, device misconfigurations, data leakage, unauthorized access and network misuse.
Over the last year network security has become one of the most important cornerstones of protecting our federal, state, and private sectors from the escalating complexity of cyber attacks. This award from GSN is sincerely appreciated by the entire Lancope team.
