Lancope to Present Newly Enhanced ‘University of NetFlow’ Seminar in Atlanta, Oklahoma City & Denver
Attendees to learn how to increase network visibility and security context for accelerated incident response and network troubleshooting
ATLANTA, February 5, 2013 – Lancope, Inc., a leader in network visibility and security intelligence, will deliver its ‘University of NetFlow’ seminar in Atlanta, Oklahoma City and Denver in February. Newly enhanced seminars for 2013 include a stronger focus on advanced applications of NetFlow for incident response, network troubleshooting, forensics and compliance. To view the schedule of upcoming seminars or to register, go to: http://www.lancope.com/news-events/university-of-netflow/.
In 2012, Lancope’s University of NetFlow garnered over 700 attendees in 28 different cities. Lancope is further expanding the program in 2013, delivering 35 classes in North America, as well as taking the seminars global later in the year. 2013 training courses also feature new hands-on labs during which attendees will learn how to detect security issues including botnets, long flows, data exfiltration and internal scanning.
As corporate networks are continuously plagued by ever-evolving threats (from malware and DDoS to insider threats and APTs), it is important for organizations to understand exactly how, when and where their network has been compromised, and by whom. Unfortunately, conventional security solutions do not provide the visibility necessary to conduct internal network surveillance and uncover these critical details.
University of NetFlow seminar attendees will discover how NetFlow enables IT teams to:
- Accelerate incident response, forensics and network troubleshooting
- Detect stealthy, zero-day attacks that bypass traditional defenses
- Quickly identify insider misuse and abuse
- Streamline the cost and complexity of IT operations
- Enhance regulatory compliance
When collected and analyzed with advanced monitoring tools like Lancope’s StealthWatch® System, NetFlow can provide the network insight needed to dramatically improve security postures and reduce enterprise risk.
About the University of NetFlow
Lancope’s University of NetFlow began educating users five years ago with an introductory NetFlow 101 boot camp. As the original NetFlow educator, the University evolved its boot camp into a half-day seminar focusing on the power of flow data for network performance benefits. Today, the University is dedicated to continuing education by teaching innovative uses of flow data. The course is designed to share the industry knowledge and cutting-edge research derived from Lancope’s security team to help organizations make the most of their NetFlow investment.
