Lancope Appoints David R. Schwickerath Vice President of Worldwide Sales

ATLANTA, Ga., July 9, 2003 - Lancope, Inc., the leading provider of Advanced Threat Protection solutions, today announced the appointment of David R. Schwickerath as vice president of worldwide sales. Bringing over 25 years of successful technology sales and management experience, Schwickerath is responsible for driving Lancope's worldwide direct and channel sales strategy and execution.

Before joining Lancope, Schwickerath tripled international revenues as the senior vice president of sales with Starbase Corporation and then with Borland Corporation (NasdaqNM: BORL), after it acquired Starbase. Prior to this, he more than doubled revenues as the senior vice president of worldwide sales and board member with Technology Builders, Inc., which Starbase acquired in 2001. Previously, he was a division vice president with Computer Associates International, Inc. (NYSE: CA), where he achieved consistent high growth sales results and successfully managed multiple domestic sales teams. In addition, he has served in executive sales management roles with Applied Data Research, Inc. (acquired by Computer Associates in 1988), GE Software International and Automatic Data Processing, Inc. (NYSE: ADP). Schwickerath holds an MBA from Georgia State University and earned his B.S. in Business and Marketing from Iowa State University.
