Lancope Announces “Cisco IOS NetFlow 101”
Seminars in North America
~Free Seminar in 11 Cities Teaches How to Harness NetFlow for Network Performance Monitoring and Anomaly Detection~
Atlanta, May 19, 2008 — Lancope®, Inc., the provider of the StealthWatch™ System, the most widely used network behavior analysis (NBA) and response solution, today announced a North American seminar series designed to teach network and security managers about the hidden IT security potential available within their existing network infrastructures through NetFlow. Lancope’s “Cisco IOS NetFlow 101” free seminar series kicks off May 21, 2008, in Minneapolis and will take place in 10 additional cities throughout North America.
Developed as part of the Cisco IOS, NetFlow has evolved into a powerful network accounting technology, providing numerous benefits such as application and user monitoring, network analysis and planning, traffic engineering and security analysis. When analyzed effectively, NetFlow provides operational and security benefits beyond traditional technologies through two additional layers of intelligence: visibility into host-based conversations and traffic pattern analysis. Lancope’s seminar will demonstrate how to enable and analyze NetFlow data to pinpoint network performance issues and detect threats that bypass traditional security defenses.
The seminar, presented by NetFlow experts from Lancope and Cisco, will include the following:
