Annual Red Herring 100 to be announced at spring conference
ATLANTA — MAY 24, 2005 — Lancope, Inc., the leading provider of Network Behavior Analysis (NBA) and Response solutions, today announced that Adam Powers, Director of Technology for Lancope’s Advanced Technology Group, will present “Anatomy of an Attack: From Incident to Expedient Resolution” on Tuesday, June 14 at 2 p.m. MST at the 15 th annual CSI NetSec 2005.
Powers was selected among hundreds of security thought-leaders to educate network and security administrators on how behavior-based network security solutions identify, prioritize and control network behavior for cost-effective continuous real-time management of the network security posture and operations across the enterprise.
Under the Attacks & Countermeasures Conference Track, Powers will demonstrate how hackers can easily take advantage of new and widely known exploits to bypass traditional security defenses and penetrate the network core. He will explore the advantages of using a behavior-based network anomaly detection to detect and mitigate nefarious behavior in a timely fashion, while providing critical network intelligence for insightful forensics analysis. Audience members will learn how to minimize the window of vulnerability, detect nefarious activity and zero-day attacks, implement adaptive threat mitigation, improve the security posture of the network and ensure network integrity.
The CSI NetSec 2005 conference will take place June 13-15, 2005 at The Phoenician Resort in Scottsdale, Arizona.About Lancope
