Lancope® PRESS RELEASE
Lancope’s StealthWatch Awarded "Best of Show" Grand Prix at Interop Tokyo 2006
ATLANTA, June 13, 2006 – Lancope, Inc., the provider of StealthWatch, the most widely used Network Behavior Analysis (NBA) and Response System, today announced that the StealthWatch System was awarded "Best of Show" Grand Prix for the Network Security Products category at Interop Tokyo 2006, the premier telecommunications and network technology event, which was held in Tokyo from June 7 through June 9, 2006.
Based on Interop Tokyo's rigorous evaluation of solutions and services, Lancope’s StealthWatch System won the "Best of Show" award in the Network Security Products category because of its unique advantages, including the ability to leverage investments in network infrastructure by analyzing NetFlow™ or sFlow® data; its Point-Of-View™ technology, which delivers customized dashboard views that cater to users’ specific operational and reporting needs; the Concern Index™, which prioritizes suspicious host behavior and allows for threshold driven response and automated mitigation actions using existing routers, switches or firewalls to quarantine hosts; and User Identity Tracking, which ties network flow data, alarms, alerts and host behaviors directly to the individual responsible for the activity.
"We are honored to receive the ‘Best of Show’ Grand Prix award in the category of Network Security Products for StealthWatch at Interop Tokyo 2006," said Harland LaVigne, president and chief executive officer of Lancope. "StealthWatch continues to provide invaluable benefits beyond behavior-based anomaly detection and powerful network performance monitoring. Demonstrating Lancope’s leadership in delivering innovative solutions for unifying and optimizing security and network operations, StealthWatch protects global enterprise networks and ensures network performance."
Every year, the products and services of more than 300 exhibitors compete and are nominated for the coveted Best of Show Award. Among seventeen award categories, only six products/solutions were given the Grand Prix award of distinction. Selected based upon votes by industry experts, Grand Prix winners are the most significant or promising products in each product category.
Lancope recently announced an exclusive distribution partnership with Bussan Networks, Ltd., a subsidiary of Mitsui & Co., Ltd. for the Japanese market. Bussan formally introduced in Japan Lancope’s StealthWatch System, including the new StealthWatch IDentity-1000 powered by A10 Networks, the first solution to tie network traffic and host behavior to user identity, at the Interop Tokyo 2006.
