Lancope Names Mark Gothard VP Americas Field Operations
Continues International Expansion to Address Growing Demand
ATLANTA, AUGUST 16, 2005 - Lancope, Inc., the leading provider of Network Anomaly Detection Systems (NADS), today named Mark Gothard, Vice President of Americas Field Operations for Lancope. Gothard was formerly the Regional Sales Director for Internet Security Systems (Nasdaq:ISSX). In his new role, Gothard will drive Lancope’s sales efforts and extend the company’s reach within the Americas marketplace.

Gothard brings more than 25 years of sales, sales management and channel experience with leading technology companies, including ISS, Documentum, E.piphany, Apple Computer and Digital Equipment. While at ISS, Mark led his sales team in delivering the two largest deals in company history worth over $20 million and brought aboard several new Fortune 1000 accounts. With a successful career of achieving dramatic sales growth, Gothard has received numerous sales accolades and helped many technology start-ups enter the large enterprise IT marketplace. Gothard received a B.A. in Journalism and Public Relations from Central Michigan University.
Also, David R. Schwickerath, a key member of Lancope’s management team for over two years, has been named Vice President of International Sales and is responsible for driving sales strategy and execution in Europe, Middle East, Africa and Asia. His appointment reflects Lancope’s continued commitment to international expansion and growth. In addition to building local sales and support resources to meet growing customer demand, Schwickerath will strengthen the international partner program with new security value added resellers, network solutions providers and key distributors.
