Wes Young

Incident Response Big Data and Analytics

Wes Young is a co-Founder of the CSIRT Gadgets Foundation, a nonprofit that builds and promotes open-source technology for CSIRTs around the world. Wes spends the majority of his time writing code that enables CSIRT's to share threat intelligence at-scale with their peers. Hobbies include long walks on the beach, golfing, snowboarding and pretending he's a day trader.

Seth Bromberger

Seth Bromberger has been involved in network and systems security for over nineteen years. His work history spans multiple industries and sectors, including government, finance and energy. He is Principal at NCI Security, a consulting firm dedicated to the protection of domestic and international critical infrastructure. Previously, he was the Executive Vice President of Information Sharing and Government Outreach at Energy Sector Security Consortium, a registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organization he co-founded in 2008. Mike Murray

Michael Murray is the Director of Cyber Security Consulting and Assessment at GE Healthcare, responsible for providing architecture and security assessment services to support GE Healthcare’s engineering teams in building secure products.

Michael joined GE Healthcare after building a successful security consulting and training company (MAD Security/The Hacker Academy).  He has worked in technical and leadership roles in information security since the 1990s, including stints at Neohapsis, nCircle and Liberty Mutual Insurance Group.

Skip Stellhorn

Skip Stellhorn brings a broad perspective in his experience in networking and information security. His roles range from product and tool development (nCircle and Symantec), to implementing overall strategies and running programs (Stanford Graduate School of Business), to incident investigations and response (Facebook). His passion currently lies in designing and implementing security programs for startups (CSO, Big Monocle). Skip is particularly passionate about incident investigations and response, best practices, security programs, privacy protection and user education.

Steve MacLellan

Steve MacLellan is the founder and CEO of Blue Sky Management & Research, a Cambridge, Massachusetts-based company. Current work includes assisting technology start-ups, venture capital investments, investment portfolio management and IT/Cyber Security consulting

Steve worked most recently for Fidelity Investments in Boston for over 26 years. At Fidelity, Steve was responsible for cyber security architecture and global information security solutions.

Peter Albert

Cloud Automation & DevOps, Big Data Analytics, Incident Response

Peter D. Albert served as the Vice President of Operations at Qualys, Inc., since April 14, 2011. With more than 25 years of experience, Peter was responsible for managing global operations and expansion of the QualysGuard global SaaS infrastructure, overseeing its worldwide security operation centers (SOCs). Peter served as Vice President of Network Operations and Engineering at iPass. From November 1999 to August 2010, Peter held various positions at iPass. He successfully grew and managed an international team of 200 engineers and operations personnel, managed enterprise security and built a world-class network with 10 international data centers and endpoints in over 160 countries. At iPass, Peter also built a new engineering team to work on a project that ultimately became the company's flagship product, the iPass Open Mobile Platform – a cloud-based service helping enterprises efficiently manage mobility devices and services for employees. 

Mike Scheck

Incident Response

Michael Scheck is a manager for the Computer Security Incident Response Team (CSIRT) team at Cisco Systems. Michael manages the global incident response and US analyst team. These teams are responsible for network security monitoring, development of new security event detection methodology and security incident investigation and mitigation for Cisco-owned business. CSIRT regularly engages in proactive threat assessment, mitigation planning, incident trending with analysis, security architecture, incident detection and response. Before becoming a manager, Michael spent over 10 years within the CSIRT team as a lead investigator and founded the CSIRT threat intelligence team.

Michael has published papers on NetFlow for incident detection, taught hands-on classes on the use of NetFlow for members of the Forum of Incident Response and Security Teams (FIRST), as well as presented at Cisco Live on the use of NetFlow within CSIRT.

Darin Miller

Cloud Automation & Software Defined Networking

Darin Miller is a security researcher in Cisco's Critical Infrastructure Assurance Group (CIAG). The research arm of the CIAG is tasked to collaborate with various groups (customers, academia and national laboratories) on critical infrastructure security issues 3-5 years in the future. For the past year, Darrin has concentrated on the areas of IPv6 and sensor security research. This work has included protocol security analysis and security architectures for next generation networks. Darrin has authored and contributed to several books and whitepapers on the subject of network security. Prior to his five years at Cisco, Darrin held various positions in the network security community during his 15 year career.
